Data deletion

Last updated: How to delete your Comment Kro data, including the data we receive from Instagram, and how to check a deletion request.

1. Check a Deletion Request

If you removed Comment Kro from Instagram, you got a confirmation code. Enter it here to see the status of your request.

2. Data We Receive from Instagram

When you connect an Instagram professional account, Comment Kro receives:

  • Your Instagram account ID, username, name and profile picture.
  • Your posts' IDs, captions, thumbnails and links, which we show in the post picker. We store only the IDs of the posts you pick.
  • For people who interact with your automations: their Instagram-scoped ID, their username, the text of their comment or message, and the DMs and replies our automations send them.

3. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data in three ways, or email us.

Delete your Comment Kro account

In Comment Kro, go to Settings → General and select Delete account. This deletes your Comment Kro account and everything linked to it straight away.

Disconnect an Instagram account

Go to Settings → Connected accounts and select Disconnect. This deletes our access token for that Instagram account straight away, so its automations stop.

Remove Comment Kro from Instagram

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to Settings and activity.
  2. Select Website permissions, then Apps and websites.
  3. Select Comment Kro, then Remove.

Meta then tells us, and we delete everything we received through that account straight away: the access token, the account's profile details, its automations, and its message logs and leads. If you also ask Meta to delete your data, Meta shows you a confirmation code that you can check on this page.

Email us

Email support@commentkro.in from the email address on your account. We delete your data within 30 days and confirm by email.

4. What We Keep

  • Payment records: kept for 7 years, because Indian tax law requires it.
  • Deletion requests: the confirmation code and its status are kept for 180 days, so you can check them on this page.
