Free Instagram auto DM, explained
A free trial ends after a few days. A free plan doesn't. Comment Kro is built in India for Indian creators and small businesses, and its Free plan costs ₹0 with no end date. It runs the same automations as Pro, with three differences: 1,000 DMs a day instead of unlimited, no CSV export of your leads, and email support instead of priority support.
Everything that sends messages is included: all three triggers ("Comment on a post or reel", "Direct message" and "Story mention"), public replies under comments, ask to follow, lead capture and analytics for each automation. That makes it free comment to DM automation in the full sense, not a demo with parts switched off.
The free Instagram auto DM limit counts the DMs your automations send in a day, across every Instagram account on your login. If you reach 1,000, DMs stop for the rest of that day and start again the next day. Pro removes the daily cap for ₹199 a month, or ₹149 a month billed yearly (₹1,788 a year), and adds CSV export and priority support.

Create an account with email and a password, or with Google, and stay on the Free plan. No card is needed.

Connect Instagram
Log in through instagram.com with a public Business or Creator account. You don't need a Facebook Page, and you can disconnect whenever you want.

Build an automation
Pick a trigger, add keywords or switch on "Reply to every comment", write the DM with {{sender_name}}, and set the delay.

Launch and watch your usage
After you tap "Launch automation", the dashboard shows how many DMs you have sent, so you can see how close you are to 1,000 a day.

Instagram's rules, in plain words
Comment Kro runs on the official Instagram API, so these limits apply to every automation.
- Instagram's limits don't change with your plan. Meta allows up to 750 private replies per hour per account, and each Comment Kro automation is capped at 100 DMs an hour by default, on Free and Pro alike.
- Each comment can get one private reply, within 7 days of the comment, whichever plan you are on.
- Only people who commented on your post, messaged you or mentioned you can receive an automatic DM. No plan allows cold DMs.
- Your Instagram account must be public and set to Business or Creator. Switching to a professional account is free in Instagram's settings.

Is the Free plan a trial?
No. It costs ₹0 with no end date, and you are never moved to a paid plan unless you choose to upgrade.
Can I auto DM Instagram comments for free, with no catch?
Yes. Comment triggers, public replies, ask to follow and lead capture all work on the Free plan. What you give up compared with Pro is unlimited DMs, CSV export and priority support. Everything else is the same.
What happens when I reach 1,000 DMs in a day?
DMs stop for the rest of that day and start again the next day. Comment Kro doesn't go back later to answer comments that came in while you were at the limit, and they show in the automation's Failed count. If you expect a big launch, upgrade before you post.
Is the 1,000 DM limit per Instagram account?
No, it is per Comment Kro login. If you connect two Instagram accounts, DMs from both count toward the same 1,000 a day.
What does Pro add, and what does it cost?
Unlimited DMs, CSV export of your leads and priority support. Pro is ₹199 a month, or ₹149 a month billed yearly (₹1,788 a year), paid in rupees through Razorpay. Triggers and the builder are the same on both plans.
