Comment to DM, explained
Every creator in India knows the comment "link?" Comment to DM automation answers it for you. Add a line to your caption, like "Comment karo LINK, DM mein bhej dunga", and Comment Kro will send a DM when someone comments that keyword. The DM is an Instagram private reply tied to their comment, and it goes out within seconds, plus any delay you add.
You decide where it runs. "All posts and reels" covers your whole profile, including posts you publish later. "Specific posts" lets you pick from thumbnails of your 24 most recent posts, so a Diwali gifting Reel can have its own keyword and message. Capital letters don't matter: LINK, link and Link all match.

Connect your Instagram account
Sign up with email or Google and connect Instagram through its own login page. Only public Business or Creator accounts work. In Basics, name the automation and choose that account.

Choose "Comment on a post or reel"
In the Trigger step, select this trigger, then "All posts and reels" or "Specific posts". Add keywords as chips, or switch on "Reply to every comment" to send a DM when someone comments anything at all.

Pick how keywords match
"Contains any keyword" catches comments like "pls send link". "Contains all keywords" needs every keyword in the comment. "Exact match" only fires when the whole comment is one of your keywords.

Write the DM
Turn on "Send a DM" and write up to 2,000 characters. {{sender_name}} adds their username and {{comment_text}} repeats their comment. The delay slider goes from 0 to 60 seconds.

Review and launch
"Reply publicly after sending the DM" is on by default and posts "I just sent you a DM. Please check your inbox." under the comment. Change the wording if you like, check the summary, then tap "Launch automation".

Instagram's rules, in plain words
Comment Kro runs on the official Instagram API, so these limits apply to every automation.
- Instagram allows one private reply per comment, and it has to be sent within 7 days of the comment.
- If the person follows you, the DM lands in their main inbox. If not, it goes to their Message requests.
- You can send more messages only after they reply, and only inside the 24-hour window their reply opens.
- Comments on Instagram Live are not supported. Only comments on posts and reels count.
- Meta allows up to 750 private replies per hour per account. Comment Kro caps each automation at 100 DMs an hour by default.

Questions about comment to dm
What does an Instagram comment to DM tool actually do?
It watches the comments on your posts and reels and sends a direct message when a comment matches a keyword you chose. Comment Kro uses Instagram's private reply feature for this, so each DM is linked to the comment that started it and comes from your own account.
Can different Reels have different keywords and DMs?
Yes. Create one automation per Reel with "Specific posts", each with its own keyword and message. Automations are unlimited on every plan. Keep the keywords distinct, because one comment can only get one private reply.
Does it work on posts I published before signing up?
Yes, for new comments. "All posts and reels" covers older posts as well as future ones, and "Specific posts" shows your 24 most recent. Comments left before the automation went live don't get a DM.
Can I send the link only to people who follow me?
You can, with the optional "Ask to follow before sending the DM" setting, which is off by default. The first DM has a "Send me the link" button. When they tap it, Comment Kro checks whether they follow you. Followers get the link; others are asked to follow and tap "I followed", with up to 3 reminders. It never follows anyone for you.

Yes. When someone comments your keyword on your post or Reel, Comment Kro sends them your DM within seconds. They don't need to follow you unless you turn on ask to follow. If they don't follow you, the DM shows up in their Message requests.
What will {{sender_name}} show in the DM?
Their Instagram username, the handle after the @, not their full name. If Instagram doesn't share a username, it falls back to "there", so "Hi {{sender_name}}!" still reads as "Hi there!".
