Auto reply Instagram comments on your own posts and reels
Comment Kro answers comments on your posts and Reels for you, with a public reply under the comment, a private DM, or both. It never comments on anyone else's posts.
Auto-reply to comments, explained
When a Reel takes off, the same questions pile up under it, like "price?", "size?" and "kahan se liya?" With Comment Kro you write the answer once. "Reply to the comment" posts a public reply under each matching comment, "Send a DM" answers in private, and you can turn on both.
Searches like "auto comment Instagram" or "Instagram comment bot" often lead to a different kind of tool, one that posts comments on other people's posts to get noticed. Comment Kro doesn't do that. It replies only on your own posts and reels, to people who commented first. Auto-commenting and comment bombing on other accounts break Instagram's rules, and Meta bans fake engagement such as bought comments.
Your public reply can use {{sender_name}} and {{comment_text}}. If you only send a DM, the "Reply publicly after sending the DM" setting posts a short note instead. By default it says "I just sent you a DM. Please check your inbox." and you can change it. A comment gets one of these public replies, never both. Public replies and DMs are both on the Free plan, so you can run Instagram comment automation free and upgrade only if you need more DMs.
How it works
Set it up in a few minutes
Every step below uses the same labels you see in the Comment Kro builder.

Pick the comment trigger
Create an automation, then in the Trigger step choose "Comment on a post or reel" and either "All posts and reels" or "Specific posts".

Decide which comments get a reply
Add keywords such as PRICE or SIZE and choose a match mode, or switch on "Reply to every comment" to answer all new comments on those posts.

Write the public reply
Turn on "Reply to the comment" and write what people will see under their comment. Keep it short, and save prices, phone numbers and links for the DM.

Add a DM for the details
Turn on "Send a DM" for the full answer, like a size chart or an order link. The delay slider (0-60 seconds) adds a short pause before replies go out, if you prefer one.

Launch and check the counts
Tap "Launch automation". Each automation shows Triggered, Sent and Failed counts, and you can pause, edit, duplicate or delete it whenever you want.

Show readers you reply
A visible reply under "price?" tells other people scrolling the comments that you answer, and where to find the answer.
Repeat questions on product posts
Answer size, price and delivery questions with a short public line, then send the full details by DM.
Launch and event posts
On a workshop, show or launch post, "Reply to every comment" thanks each person and sends them the booking link.
Replies while you sleep
If a Reel gets picked up at midnight, its comments still get answered, and you can read through the threads in the morning.
Instagram's rules, in plain words
Comment Kro runs on the official Instagram API, so these limits apply to every automation.
- Posting automated comments on other people's posts is spam under Instagram's rules.
- Meta bans buying or selling comments, likes and followers, along with any other fake engagement.
- Automated replies should be honest and relevant, and should only reach people who interacted with you first.
- A comment can get one private reply (the DM), sent within 7 days of the comment.
- Automatic replies work on posts and reels, not on comments made during an Instagram Live.

Questions about auto-reply to comments
Can Comment Kro auto comment on other people's Instagram posts?
No. It only replies to comments on your own posts and reels. Tools that post comments on other accounts, or flood them with comments for attention, break Instagram's rules on spam and fake engagement. Our guide to comment bots and auto-commenters explains the difference.
Is Comment Kro an Instagram comment bot?
Only in the sense that it replies for you. It doesn't write comments on its own, run fake accounts or touch posts you don't own. It waits for a real person to comment on your post, then sends the reply you wrote.
Does it hide or delete negative comments?
No. Comment Kro only adds replies. It never hides, deletes or edits comments, so moderation stays with you in the Instagram app.
Can the public reply use the person's name?
Yes, in "Reply to the comment", where {{sender_name}} becomes their username. The automatic "Reply publicly after sending the DM" note is sent exactly as written, without variables, and can be up to 500 characters.
